Zum Lang is a special country hotel, which creates the space for a relaxing time with its familiar, cozy atmosphere and individually designed guest rooms. The entire house is electrosmog free and thus devoid of any kind of harmful electromagnetic fields.

Vegan cuisine in the Bavarian Forest

For the Bauer family, vegetarian/vegan food is more than a trend, as it has become firmly established in the hotel’s cuisine. Cooking and experimenting with high-quality food––that is the passion of our head cook Ursula Bauer, who took over the “Landhotel Zum Lang” from her parents in 1997. For more than 20 years she has been able to preserve traditions and combine them with something new.

No wonder Ursula Bauer is particularly fond of fresh grain and vegetables: “The original food, processed as little as possible, fascinates me––simply fresh and homemade. A soy sausage with “bratwurst” taste has little to do with the basic vegan concept for me. It is free of animal products, but is processed in a factory. Hardly resource-conserving and healthy. Here you have to learn how to cook anew,” emphasizes the head of the house.

In the „Kuchl“ (small kitchen) at the “Lang”, traditional Bavarian recipes combine together with new ideas from international cuisine to create wonderful delights. Ursula is always looking to prepare fresh, vitamin-rich and healthy dishes with ingredients from trustworthy supliers.
As a vegan-friendly hotel several vegan dishes are offered daily. The menu includes conventional, Bavarian and vegetarian dishes as well as a selection of vegan starters, main courses and desserts.

Beer bar since 1644

For generations, villagers, customs officers and “Zuagroaste” (incomers) have met here to feel at home and enjoy Bavarian inn culture, simply to be among ordinary people.

The „Kaminstubm“ (sitting room with fireplace) with its lovely homely atmosphere is the jewel of the house. It is ideal for weddings, birthday parties or a cozy dinner in a stylish Bavarian ambience. Enjoy the peace and quiet with a tasty meal or a fine rare wine from our cellar.
