The more than 500 year old main building dates from a period when natural resources prevailed, – especially wood and stone; for the new building only environmental friendly building material was applied in accordance with the tradition of Vorarlberg wood architecture.

50 rooms, 1.000 m² “AlpinSPA” and 20.000 m² unlimited hinterland – a warm and cosy atmosphere is perceivable at every corner of the Naturhotel.

At breakfast you can enjoy a spectacular view over the Kleinwalsertal and when returning from a fantastic day of skiing or hiking one can see from a distance the candle-lit homey set dinner tables. Before dinner it is worth while enjoying the magnificent experience of a mountain afterglow in the sauna or in the all year round heated swimming pool.

AlpinSpa

Apart from a multifold range of massage – treatments, “Alpin-spa” focuses on ayurvedic treatments that are available both individually and in various custom-made packages. Each treatment is different. The Chesa Valisa´s concept is to meet the individual needs and demands of each guest.

The therapists at the AlpinSpa care individually for each person. Consequently no beauty treatment is alike. Rather than starting from standardised skin types every guest is endowed with his own personal beauty programme.

Ayurveda treatments

Or let the highly trained team of therapists pamper you with an Ayurvedic massage. In addition to the wide range of massages on offer, the hotel’s own AlpinSPA specialises in Ayurvedic treatments with its own Ayurvedic doctor. Naturhotel Chesa Valisa also focusses on 100% organic products in the wellness area. For example, facial treatments are carried out with the vegan cosmetics brand Pharmos Natur using fresh aloe vera leaves. No two treatments are the same. Because at Chesa Valisa, it’s all about recognising and pampering each individual guest with their individual needs. This also applies to the food!

100% organic & vegan-friendly kitchen

In the kitchen of the Naturhotel Chesa Valisa, everything is freshly prepared from 100% organic produce; even the flour is ground in-house to bake fresh bread almost every day. Convenience products and microwaves are not used. And anyone with allergies or food intolerances will not be met with blank stares at the Naturhotel. Head chef Dennis Gasper personally takes care of putting together an appropriate menu for special requests. When the aroma of fair-trade organic coffee wafts through the dining room in the morning, guests can look forward to a large breakfast buffet in the good Austrian tradition – everything from fresh grain porridge to a fruit and vegetable station and a special Ayurveda corner with warm compotes. At lunchtime there is a light snack with a salad and raw vegetable buffet, soups and small hot dishes as well as strudel and cakes from the in-house cake fairy. Vegan, Ayurvedic and Austrian classics are how Magdalena Kessler describes the cuisine on the 5-course evening menu of choice; not forgetting the “Green Day”, where neither meat nor fish is served every Thursday.

Throughout the day, guests can help themselves at the tea bar and fruit basket and drink as much fresh spring water as they like. “All healthy things are of course included in our 3/4 organic vitality board,” says Sieglinde Kessler. When the senior manager is not working in her office, she personally looks after the hotel’s own garden, where flowers and herbs grow and flourish together like in a traditional farm garden and is responsible for the overall flavourful ambience. Naturally, the garden is cultivated in biodynamic style with its own fertiliser and recycling of the leftovers.

Naturhotel Chesa Valisa also offers a wide range of activities for physical and mental fitness. Why not start the day with an active awakening at 07:00 in the morning, let us explain the Kleinwalsertal mountains to you, discover the world of bees – because the nature hotel has 20 of its own bee colonies, or connect body and mind with daily yoga (at least twice a day).
